Up until this weekend it had been years since I set foot inside a JCPenney. But their recent rebranding efforts worked like a dream on me! JCP is taking a leaf out of Target’s marketing book. They are teaming up with celebrity designers to create affordable home collections to attract design-savy shoppers who have previously overlooked JCP. I was so excited to hear that one of their designers is the uber trendy and always quirky Jonathan Adler! The line called Happy Chic offers a large collection of cheerful accessories and furnishings that have that unmistakable retro Jonathan Adler style. And even better news … Happy Chic comes at a more affordable price point than Jonathan Adler’s collections at his flagship stores. I love that the collection includes a balance of glamorous mid-century pieces and colorful funky accessories. Here’s a look at some of my favs.
1. Charlotte Ribbed Table Lamp $28
2. Crescent Heights 60″ Velvet Bench $815
3. Katie ‘Peony’ Candle $28
4. Elizabeth Pillows $32-$38
5. Lola Owl Bookends (set of 2) $42
6. Bleeker Mirrored Coffee Table $845
7. XL Lacquer Tray 24"x24" $100
Happy Chic is available online and in stores. Chicagoan’s you can find it at the JCPs in Niles, Schaumburg, North Riverside, and Lombard.
